On Tuesday the 22nd of may the year 8's and 7's at Hornby High School went on a trip, we went to the Fo Guang Shan Temple. When we got there the guy that was giving us a tour he told us a bit about him
and then he took us to the art gallery in the temple. He told us that there is something called 3 Good Deeds and 4 Givings. Then we split into two groups and my group ( Group one) went upstairs and went to the library and he said that there are books there that are from China and New Zealand. Then we Back down stairs and got water tattoos on our hands. Then we went to this big hall and made flower out of cardboard and put rubber band on the bottom so we could put them around our wrists or in our pony tail. The flower was called the lotus flower. Then we all when back upstairs and we watched a videos of this prince being kind to everyone and becoming a king. Then two policemen came in and told us there values and rules they need to follow. Then they got people to go up and put the police uniform on. Then we when back downstairs and got some cookies and water. Then we came back home. The day was really fun because I have never done anything like that before and I found it really interesting.
