Budgeting

In business we have been learning about budgeting. We had to make a DLO to show how to budget and what budgeting is.

 

What is budgeting?	How to budget.
Budgeting is learning how to save money. Keeping track of how much money you spend and how much you get. Saving up your money to buy something out of your price range. Knowing the difference between what you need and what you want.	Saving money to save up for something out of your budget. Not buying unnecessary items. Buying things you need, not want.

The Marketing Mix - Product

In Business we have been learning how to sell a product. We are having a market day soon so we are learning how to handle a business.  In my team there is Tahnesha, Aone, Gabbie and myself, we are making gift bags. Our gift bags have bubbles, lollies and keyrings in it. We are putting different things in the bags. We will need paper bags, key chains, wool, bubbles, lollies. The keyrings are going to be made from wool and they are going to be different colours. Our product is not original but people don't really sale them at store. We liked the idea and we did it a few years ago and it was successful so we are making them.

For business we were give a task to make banknotes. We had to create 2 note's but had to make a front and back. Both sides had to contain 5 of 8 characteristics of good currency the characteristics are:

-         Generally accepted

-         Durable

-         Divisible

-         Stable/ consistent

-         Transportable

-         Scarce

-         Easily Recognizable

-         Difficult to counterfeit

When we finished our banknotes we had to state the features of our banknotes:

On my banknotes I have put the " This note is tender for 20/100 dollars". I put that there so it is difficult to counterfeit. I also put the number and letters in a line, and there is a clear oval so it is more difficult to counterfeit. I put the amount the note is worth twice on each side. I put the school logo on the note so everyone knows where you can use it. There is a picture of the principle because he is the one who runs the school.
