Eat Bugs

This week we have read a book about bug's. Did you know that people eat bugs for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Mrs Mcg told us that we should make a google drawing to convince people to eat bug's. On my google drawing I have written facts and drawn picture's as well.

Make Their Day Shop

For Digi Awards a group set up a " make their day shop".  I paid with a kind act to make someone's day. I choose to say hi to someone everyday to pay for my ice-block.

Emorer Penguin's Description

In literacy we have been learning about Antarctica over the past few. We went to the Antarctic Center for a trip and I got inspired to learn about the different type of animal's. I have researched a lot about Emorer penguin's and with all this information I made a Description about Emorer Penguin's.

Waddling through the cold cold icy snow. Emperor penguins are a type of penguin.

Emperor penguins Have a orange beak and their feathers are black and white. They are also really tall. They have two flippers and two feet. They are about 30 kg and their average height is 3.8 feet tall.

Emperor penguins can eat mainly fish also krill and squid. They can also drink water.

Emperor penguins have blubber that is just like fat and they have a lot and blubber keeps them warm. They also have a type of skin that also can keep them warm.

I like Emperor Penguin because they are my favorite penguin out of them all because they are the tallest penguins.

Writing About Antarctica

In literacy I am learning about Antarctica. We went to the Antarctic Center for a trip. In literacy I researched all about Antarctica. I wrote a description about Antarctica. I used the correct structure of a description. It has an Introduction, Characteristics and an Evaluation.

Brrrrr!! Wintry, snowy Antarctica!  Antarctica is 1 of the 7 continents on the earth. Antarctica is a desert because it never rains.

Did you know Antarctica is 25% bigger than Europe and twice the size of Australia. When it is winter is double the size because of the ice.  No one owns Antarctica because no one lives there. You will be able to find thing there. Antarctica is mostly white and you can see a little of rocks.

Did you know that the snow is 2500 meters deep.  There is land unearth all the snow. Antarctica has 90% of the worlds snow. In winter it is 24 hours of darkness and in summer it is 24 hours of daylight.  Antarctica is surrounded by the southern ocean. It is the coldest place on earth.

If you look at Antarctica on the internet I think it look like a unicorn.

I think Antarctica is a very cold place and I would like to visit Antarctica one day.

Rainy Day Art

Walt-We had to use crayon and dye to show movement and ripples in a weather feature.

For Literacy we have been learning about the weather. We have done some rainy day art for power time. First we had to use white crayon to create the rain drops. Next we had to use the rainbow colors if we wanted to have a rainbow. The last thing was to go to the dyeing table when the teacher called us up.
