Dear future Paige

For the couple of weeks we have been doing philosophy with Mr Scott. We are making a time casual for when we are 18 in 2024. We are going to put important stuff. We wrote a letter to our future selves. I am really exited to read it in 2024. This is it-

Dear future me,
By the time you read this you will be 18 YAY! I can’t imagine myself being 18 years old. When I started Hornby High I was so nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. Well anyway I like Hornby High. I am so excited about science but we haven't done it yet. Talia, Lucy and I are going to join a couple of groups like eco warriors and stuff like that. Miss Tozer said that joining eco warriors can lead to getting us a badge so we have joined eco warriors.

We still have archie and charlie ( Our cats) I don’t know if they will be around in 2024 I hope they are. We are going to Australia soon. I am so excited when you read this I have already gone to Australia. How was it? Was it fun? Did we go on rollercoasters?

Have/do when I am 18: Have my drivers license, Be head girl at school, study on being a photographer. I hope you are still at school so you can read this letter and if you are not at school then I hope you are off studying for something that we want to be when we are older. I still want to be a photographer I hope you still want to be one as well.

My interests are science, baking and maths. Some of my memories are when Talia and I started primary school I think it was about term 2 we were eating outside near the breakout room and we were leaning against the window and it broke. At talia’s 11th birthday sleepover there were helium balloon’s and we used them to make our voices go high and we had our own tee pees but it was not big it just for our head and we decorated them.

BYE BYE!

From your 11 year old self.
Paige

The Sailing Trip

On friday we went on a sailing trip. The lake we went to was called Roto Kohatu Reserve. When we got there we put our bags away and then when and sat in front of the teachers and leaders. They introduced themselves and told us the rules of the lake. After that we when to go get changed into our togs with clothes or and rash over top. Then we got split into groups. There were three teams I was in group 1. Then we choose a buddies and when to put the sail on the boat and all the other stuff on the boat to. Then we practise how to use every thing on the boat. We had one boat in the water the people kept putting boats in then I got my turn I was so nervous but I don’t know why. The leaders that were with my group kept tipping us over while we were on the boat. They kept asking me if I wanted to be tipped over but I kept saying no. Then we had morning tea and after we ate we could go for a swim we had life jackets on so we could go deep. The we went on the boats again I was not nervous because I went on it a lot. Then we left and when back to school. Sailing was so  fun I hope I will go again.
