The Marketing Mix - Promotion

For market day I am promoting my business by hanging posters around the school and having a slideshow on the TV's. Our product is for both genders and it can be for any age but I think younger people would be more interested in them. Our product is not that expensive so you don't have to have a lot of money. We are just trying to get customers to come and get our product then sharing our name around so more people will come. Our product will hopefully be appealing to the customers so they will want to buy it. My group is focusing more on our product because it is the most important because if no one wants our product our business will die.

The Marketing Mix - Place

We will be producing my product in our class because i am not making something like food so we don't need a lot of room. A good location is around other people that are doing the same category as us. I personally think it would be best to be inside because everyone that does food or outside activity's will most likely be outside. Our product might draw people in, it depends on what the person likes. Some people are doing similar products to us. They are doing gift boxes, which is quite similar to the thing we are doing.

Power To The People

In Power To The People we have been learning about politics. In my group there is Shane, Minseo, Ella, Talia and myself. Ella is our leader. Our group is called NPP, it stands for New Zealand Political Party. Our slogan is "Endless Possibilities With NPP." Our logo is...

Energy Transformation Experiment.

  1.  Chemical + electrical= Battery, Phone
  2. Light + Chemical= Torch
  3. Kinetic + Light=  Car
Aim: To make a marshmallow shooter that transforms energy.

Equipment:
1- Plastic Cup
2- Balloon
3- Marshmallow
4- Scissors

Method:
1- Cut a hole in the bottom of the cup
2- Cut the end to the balloon
3- Put the balloon on the bottom of the cup
4- Tie the balloon on the cup
5- Put the marshmallow in the cup.

Conclusion:
When we were pulling the balloon to make the marshmallows fly, they went up high but it depended on how strong the balloon was.  Elastic energy to kinetic energy.

Power To The People

In Power To The People we had to make a Piktochart to show our learning. We have been learning about how to be elected to become the prime minister.

The Marketing Mix - Price.

My team and I worked out our price by thinking of how much the customers would pay for them. The price we are selling them for is 2:50, I think this is a good price because it's not to much so more people will buy them. We made sure that we were selling them at a reasonable price, we worked out how much people would sell them for and we put our prices to a reasonable price. Other people aren't making the same product as us, so we are the only ones. We also have to consider the things we are putting in the bags. We could go up with the price but we have to think about how much other people would pay for them.

Science - Energy Transformation

 The law of conservation

Energy can't be created nor destroyed, but only change from one form into another form.

EXPERIMENT 1

Aim - To look at the energy transformation.

Equipment:

1- Paper

2- Bunsen burner

3- Matches

Summary -

She held the paper above the fire the paper started turning around.

1: What kind of energy was transformed?

Heat

2: What was it transformed too?

Kinetic

The Marketing Mix - Product

In Business we have been learning how to sell a product. We are having a market day soon so we are learning how to handle a business.  In my team there is Tahnesha, Aone, Gabbie and myself, we are making gift bags. Our gift bags have bubbles, lollies and keyrings in it. We are putting different things in the bags. We will need paper bags, key chains, wool, bubbles, lollies. The keyrings are going to be made from wool and they are going to be different colours. Our product is not original but people don't really sale them at store. We liked the idea and we did it a few years ago and it was successful so we are making them.

End Of Life Choice- Referendum

What is it about?

End of life choice is a act that gives people a choice to end their life if they are suffering a illness. To choice this you have to be over 18 and live in New Zealand. A lot of people disagree with this but I agree. I agree because a lot of people suffer with an illness and what to end it. But as off right now it is not a law so if a doctor or nurse gives you the medicine to end your life they with go to jail for murder.

Positives:

  • Family will be there.
  • The person will not suffer anymore.
  • Die in peace
  • The person gets to choose the time.

Negative:

  •  Doctor may not allowed it.
  • Should be all ages.
  • Parents of those under age should be the one to choose.

I do support this but I think all ages should be able to make their own decisions. But if the person is not capable of deciding then it should be the parents choice.

New Zealand Government

In Power To The People we have been learning about New Zealand's Government. We had to make a DLO about the three parliaments.

I learnt that Queen Elizabeth II is the Head Of State in New Zealand.

Energy - Science

Definition- Stored in an object, the ability to move something.

Different kinds of energy:

1-Light energy ( The energy of the electromagnetic waves. Found in microwaves, x-rays and visible lights.)

Example: Burning candle and light bulb.

2-Heat energy ( Caused by movement of particles. Found in all hot objects.)

Example: The sun and stovetop.

3-Sound energy ( Energy produced by vibrating objects, Examples are speech, ultrasound and music.)

Example: Balloon Popping and airplane taking off.

4-Chemical potential energy ( Energy stored in the bonds between particles. Found in substance like petrol and food.)

Example: Gasoline and batteries.

5-Electrical energy ( The movement of electrically charge particles. Found in wires, generators and lighting.)

Example:Lightning and batteries.

6-Gravitational Potential energy ( Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground.)

Example: Water that is behind a dam and a raised weight.

7-Kinetic energy ( Energy due to the motion of an object. Eg, moving cars, running, swimming.)

Example:Bullet from gun and Roller Coasters.

8-Elastic Potential energy ( Energy stored in stretched or squashed objects. Examples are springs and rubber bands.)

Example: A bent diving board before the diver jumps and an archers stretched bow.
