Alarm Call

This week we had 2 activity's to do. The first activity that we had to do was think of a twist from the picture that we got showed and draw a picture of what our twist is. The 2nd activity that we had to do was write a story about the picture and the story has to be about what the twist is that  you made.

Cuddles

STOMP STOMP! “Oooops I need to be quiet I can’t wake up Mr Paws”. Ahhh Mr Paws is so cute when he is sleeping. I can’t step on him because I will squash him like a squashed banana. I need to quietly lie down and go to sleep. I need to get the bright pink dotty pillow so I can use it. I should just wait until he wakes up because he needs his cutey rest.

Then Mr Paws woke up and found the goblin snoring as loud as a horn. Mr Paws tried and tried to wake the goblin up but it didn’t work so Mr Paws started to play with the balls of string. After that Mr paws went back to sleep but then the goblin rolled over and swished Mr Paws.

After that the goblin woke up,  he saw Mr Paws legs under his beard. He lifted up his beard and found Mr Paws sleeping on the pink dotty pillow with the balls of string next to him.   

Fireworks Challenge

This is the maths work that we have been doing this week.It is based on fireworks and there prices. Then we needed to created a display of fireworks as our last activity. We could use our Chromebooks or our books I did it in my book first but then I put it on my Chromebook.

Bye Old School Hello New School!

WALT: In our poem we had to include a simile, Alliteration and emotion words.

Yesterday in literacy we wrote a poem about our new school. We had to include what we felt, smell, see, hear and touch.  Our school is called Te mānu Tukutuku. I put a simile in my poem to make it more interesting.

Bye old school hello new school!

As I walk into our brand new school I feel scared.

At our new school I could see the senior fort, now I see the new playground’s that our nothing like our old school.

At our new school I could feel the rough walls, now I can feel the soft smooth wall.

At our old school it smelt like sweat and grossness, now it smells refreshing.

At our old school I could hear the neighbour’s dog barking like a maniac, now I can hear children scream with joy.

I feel proud to be here because when I am older I can say that I was one of the first people to leave this school.

Day 7 of S.H.S learning journey, For the first activity we get 2 points and for the second activity we get 2 point again. For the bonus activity we get 12 points.

Fun on a design app

Today I made a forest on a site that our teachers let us use it is called DesignApp.io. I made my picture using different shapes and sizes. I choose to make a forest because it was the first thing that came to my mind. The most challenging thing was that when I wanted to get a color it came with another color. The easiest thing was making the lily pads and stars. The most fun part was making the hole thing.
